How the Team ELO Rating Works
- Each team has its own rating
- Team ELO is the rating of the team, not of its players. It goes up and down with the team's rounds, the same way a player's rating moves with their games.
- A new team starts from its players
- A new team doesn't start at 1500. It starts at the average rating of the players in its first round.
- What counts is the round score
- In a round, every player plays their own game, and the WTC points of the whole team are added up. If a team scores more than expected against its opponent, it goes up. If it scores less, it goes down, even if it won the round. The rating uses the score itself, not the result.
- Winning a round
- To win a round, a team has to finish a number of points ahead. Events after June 2026 follow the official Warhammer Teams Event Companion to determine the points differential needed to score a win.
- Avg. Members ELO
- The average rating of the players who have played for the team at team events. Each player counts as much as the games they have played for the team, so one-off stand-ins barely move it. Members is how many players that average includes.
- Who appears on the ladder
- A team needs 2 team events to rank. If a team goes 6 months without a round, its rating starts moving back toward 1500, and the team is marked idle.
